I would love to share this with you.. A few weeks ago, I asked for my brothers help (Eric Cox). Most of you already know his circumstances. He asked a few of his fellow inmates if they would like to have a Prayer Pony sent to a loved one (from them) this Christmas. They were to write to us and tell us why they wished for their loved one to receive a Pony and give us a message to send with their Pony. With sweet support from others, this is our 2nd year offering these Christmas Ponies. I struggled a bit to type these requests thru tears.
Here are the requests that we received this year...
To: Noel, No, No, Grandpa really does love you and I'm so sorry I'm not there with you. Love PaPa Reason for Request: It is the Holiday season and I was not able to give him a birthday card so I just wan him to know that I love him.
To: Jahmelia, You are my Ms. Special, you are my Ms. Sweetness, you are my heartbeat and the joy of my life. Remember you will always be Daddy's Little Girl.
Reason for Request: She has been going through a lot, even wanting to commit suicide. When times gets hard I want her to be able to hold the Prayer Pony and think of her Daddy.
To: Omarion, Daddy loves you dearly and when you say your prayers with your pony, I will be there with you. Reason for Request: I have been locked up all but 2 years of his life and he doesn't know me well. I just would like him to be able to look at the Prayer Pony and think of me.
To. Armania, Grandpa loves you Armania. Have a Merry Christmas! Reason for Request: She is my granddaughter and I have only seen her once. I would love to be able to give her something from myself.
To. Jumiya, Just know that you are on Grandpa's mind. I can't wait until the day I get to see you. Have a Merry Christmas! Reason for Request: She is my granddaughter and I have never seen her and now she is four years old. I want her to know that I am thinking about her.
To: Greata, Matthew 6:21 - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Greta, my heart is with you so I pray you'll see that you are my treasure. Reason for Request: We have been going thru problems. She always tells me how lonely she is and when she feels lonely and needs something to hold on to she can be with the Prayer Pony and know that everything will be okay.
*Special note received in the request:
Dear whom it may concern, I want to give my blessing to you for showing the love of Christ. It means a lot to me any time someone thinks of the prisoners. I understand that you do not have to do what you are doing for us all. But, I would like to say thank you for spreading joy in my heart and to my loved ones. If anyone would like to be a part of this Prayer Pony Mission, we WELCOME you to be! However, each person on this Christmas list is definitively receiving a Prayer Pony this year, because I just couldn't have it any other way.
The Ponies will ship on Monday and if you would like to sponsor one of the children on this list, please let me know. I trust that someday God will find a beautiful way for this Mission to grow!
I have come to understand that the Prayer Pony Mission has little to do with the Ponies themselves and EVERYTHING to do with the Prayer attached! God can find a way to use ANYTHING to bless others if we just give it to Him first. Thank you Lord for the gifts that you give your children every day.
